The Manchester United legend's luxury Audi was spotted covered in parking tickets after being left outside a 'posh' hotel in Cheshire for two days, according to . Rooney did eventually return to the vehicle and was seen removing the fines from the windscreen before finally driving off.

Rooney has been enjoying some time with his wife and kids over the half-term break. The Rooney family took a day out at Alton Towers and posted photos on social media showing the family enjoying the rollercoasters at the Staffordshire theme park. Rooney has time on his hands after being sacked as Plymouth manager at the end of last year, although he has been enjoying some punditry work in the meantime.
