Thomas Muller has made a promise to team-mate Harry Kane after Bayern were denied the title against RB Leipzig on Saturday by a last-gasp equaliser.

Kane was preparing to celebrate winning the first trophy of his career on Saturday when Yussuf Poulsen scored a 94th minute equaliser to secure a 3-3 draw for RB Leipzig against Bayern and ensure the Bavarian giants must wait to be crowned Bundesliga champions for 2024-25. Bayern now sit nine points clear of Leverkusen with two games left to play, but Xabi Alonso's side have a game in hand on their rivals.

Vincent Kompany's side can actually seal top spot if Leverkusen fail to beat Freiburg on Sunday. However, if Alonso's side do win then Bayern will aim to clinch glory by avoiding defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach on May 10 at the Allianz Arena. It seems that Muller is already looking forward to celebrating with the England captain.

Kane will no doubt revel in the celebrations heading his way. The 31-year-old's so-called 'trophy curse' has become famous but is finally set to end with a league title. The striker has certainly played his part in Bayern's dominance this season, scoring 24 goals in 29 league games for Kompany's side.
