Mount has been plagued with multiple injuries since moving to Old Trafford from Chelsea in the summer of 2023. These injuries have limited the midfielder to just 32 appearances across all competitions, where he scored one goal and contributed with an assist. His latest blow came during the Manchester derby in December, where he injured his hamstring.

reports that the English midfield star has now finally recovered from the knock and is all set to rejoin training in the coming days. It is unlikely that Mount will feature in the Red Devils' Europa League fixture against Real Sociedad on Thursday, but Mount's impending return will come as a huge boost for Ruben Amorim, who is known to be an admirer of the ex-Chelsea star.

Speaking to reporters recently, the United head coach said: "It’s bad luck, nothing with the problem of the body of Mason Mount. It was a bad movement and he is going to recover because we need him."
