It has been a rather incredible year for Liverpool.
The Reds came so close to the Premier League title last time out, but in the end they had to make do with second place. However, they won the Champions League, which is not a bad consolation prize, and they now lead the way at the top of the Premier League by a huge eight points.
Their form over the last nine months has been breathtaking. So stunning, in fact, that they are the best performing side in their league in Europe during that period. In the last 25 matches, they have won 24 and drawn just one.
Unsurprisingly, this has pleased the club’s supporters, and they have been reacting in their droves.
It is a tremendous stat, and it goes some way to illustrating just how dominant Liverpool have been in the Premier League recently.
Incredibly, the Reds have played two less games than those other sides on the list, and that has not gone unnoticed by the club’s supporters.
To have picked up 12 more points than any other side despite having played two less games is truly staggering. Who can stop Liverpool domestically?

Some fans, however, aren’t interested if they don’t get their hands on the title at the end of the season, it seems.
It is a very good point to raise. At the end of the day, trophies are what matters and, as it stands, the Reds have not topped the table after the final match of the campaign since 1990.
If they continue on this form, though, it is surely only a matter of time!
