Jack Harrison has been in fine form as of late.
Indeed, the winger has assisted four goals in his past five appearances for the Whites, but there are still aspects of his game that he feels he needs to improve on.
For all of the chances he’s creating he’s not been prolific in front of goal, netting just twice in 2019/20.
However, he managed to find the net on Saturday, and after his goal, the 22-year-old gave an explanation for why he’s not been able to score on a more regular basis.

What’s been said then?
Harrison spoke after the game against QPR and expressed how pleased he was to have scored.
He also explained why he’s not been able to bag more often for the Whites.
“The last time I scored was the first game of the season so I have been wanting a goal for a while.”
“At times I’ve got a bit too excited and missed my opportunities but if you score in front of the fans at that end it creates an incredible feeling inside that I wish I could have more often.
“I want to contribute to the game as much as I can with goals and assists.”
Easily ironed out
Fortunately, Harrison’s issues in front of goal are easily ironed out.
The fact of the matter is that the 22-year-old is still rather inexperienced in terms of playing senior football, and getting overly excited when in a goalscoring position is normal for a player at this stage of his career.
Why being the away goalkeeper at Leeds is the toughest job in football in the video below…
As he progresses and he gets used to playing in big games in front of huge crowds the nerves and highly-strung emotions will fade away, and hopefully these things will start to come as second nature for him.
After all, we’re starting to see improvements in numerous phases of his game this term. Compared to 2018/19, he’s playing more key passes, performing more dribbles and having more shots per game.
A lack of goals could well be an issue that plagues him for a few more months, but in the long-term, he should be able to add a greater goalscoring element to his game. That’s certainly if he continues on an upward trajectory.
