On the other hand, Dembele produced a historic season in a newfound false nine role under Luis Enrique at Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 33 goals in 49 games and guiding them to an unprecedented quadruple achievement, which included their maiden Champions League glory. The Frenchman, owing to his contributions in all competitions won by PSG, is widely considered to be the frontrunner to win the Ballon d'Or this year.
